Monet - The Early Years

Monet, the Early Years on display at the Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco until May 29th.

A master of light and shadow, Monet paints swatches of color in parallel lines next to each other to create gentle ripples of water. In snow scenes, he uses blue, grey, yellow and pink to create beautiful shadows on white snow. Squint, and keep squinting. It will twinkle.....
