Sleeping Woman by Richard Diebenkorn 1961

One of his rarely seen figurative art works on display at the San Francisco MoMA.

Loved this show! It's a beautiful pairing of two great masters. Diebenkorn stated many times that he was greatly influenced by the French painter Henri Matisse.

Although they never met in person, Matisse's style had a profound effect on Diebenkorn as a young art student at Stanford University.

Go see this very large show! 100 paintings by the two artists. Runs through May 29, 2017 at:

SF MoMA

151 Third Street

S.F., CA
